| It is the size I wanted. Great design. Attractive and compact. I wanted a break resistant carafe (so my kids can do the dishes). The carafe is well built and is lightweight. I too was concerned that it is not a thermal insulated carafe but it turns out that is not needed since it sits on a "Keep Hot" warming plate. Though it is not listed on the outside of the box, it does indeed automatically shut off after 2 hours as described in the instructions. The clock and programmable timer are simple to set up. Best of all it brews hot delicious coffee! |
Really Good Coffeemaker

| I love this 5-cup coffeemaker. This is the first Black & Decker coffeemaker that I have ever owned. I was a die-hard Mr. Coffee user until I tried this little 5-cup from Black & Decker. First of all it brews a superb cup of coffee. The stainless steel carafe is a money saver, in that you don't have to worry about it breaking or cracking. The stainless steel carafe is thin, but it is durable, and it does keep the coffee hot while on the "keep hot plate." It's programmable, and it shuts off after two hours. I use the 8-12 cup size paper filters in the filter basket and they fit perfect. The silver and black color goes well with the decor of my kitchen. I've been drinking coffee for almost 40 years, and I would definitely recommend the 5-cup Black & Decker coffeemaker to anyone who loves a good "cup of joe." |
Great Little Coffee Pot!

It is not the biggest pot I've used but it may be the bravest! This little pot tries to do it all: set up is easy; brew a perfect pot; turn on with a timer; keep the coffee hot without scorching it; and clean up in a snap. In fact, this pot does it all... day in and day out. I highly recommend it.

| I bought this coffee maker because I wanted one smaller than the usual 10-12 cup pots. It is perfect. It is easy to pour the water into the reservior and I don't have to worry about breaking a glass pot. I love that I can program it and have my coffee waiting for me in the morning....most small coffee makers do not offer this or cost alot more. I am very happy with it. |
Excellent Little Coffee Maker

I discovered this coffee maker to be more than I hoped for when it arrived. Its simple, basic and does everything well.
It makes very hot coffee, has a perfect no-drip spout, cord storage, small footprint, brews quickly, stays hot, has auto off feature and looks great. Setting the clock and the programmable function is simple. The clock buttons are really dainty and feel flimsy but work well and once its set I rarely press them again anyway. The stainless steel pot is not a double walled carafe nor is it meant to be. But in combination with the heating element it does keep coffee very hot and fresh- much better than glass.
I use pure spring water and grind organic, shade grown beans moments before brewing and every cup tastes fantastic!
I bought this as a second coffee maker to travel with. It is very light weight, small and the stainless steel pot won't break. I use it for weeks at a time in my hotel rooms and it does everything very well. Comparing the coffee maker to full size deluxe coffee makers is just foolish. I have a $250 grind 'n brew that I use at home that of course is superior in every way. But in this category this coffee maker can't be beat for price, size and functionality. |
